Mark Stratton, LUTCF®, CFP®, ChSNC®

Financial Planner

Mark Stratton has been a financial planner since 2006. Mark’s goal at TSG Financial Strategies is to make clients feel like family and make today’s dreams tomorrow’s reality. One of his favorite parts of his career is helping clients accomplish their goals and watching them succeed and thrive in business and in family life. Mark assists clients preserve and maintain their lifestyle no matter the circumstance. Watching clients leave a legacy that will positively impact the lives of future generations brings him pride and joy.

Some of the services Mark most enjoys providing to his clients include charitable planning, tax strategies, retirement planning, special needs planning, succession planning, executive benefits, Key Person Insurance and estate planning services.

Mark graduated with his BS in Financial Planning from Texas Tech in 2005 where he enjoyed playing collegiate baseball. Since joining the industry. He has achieved the designations of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC ®).

Mark and his wife Austin have four children: Adaline, Maddox, Brylee and Teagan. When he isn’t in the office, Mark enjoys coaching baseball, hunting, fishing, golf and traveling to South America to work in a ministry his father created.

Steven Stratton, CLU®, ChFC®

Founder

Steven Stratton, CLU, ChFC, started The Stratton Group in 1987 after several years of being a pilot, owning a business, and working in a financial firm in the 80's. He graduated from Texas Tech with a BBA in Finance, Banking, and Small Business Management Degree in 1975.  In 2014, he received the Life and Qualifying Member-Million Dollar Round Table^, Court of the Table award which is recognition of the top 5% of financial professionals worldwide.  He was also on the Presidents Council at New York Life.   Ultimately the dedication to his clients has helped make TSG Financial Strategies what it is today.  He instilled a knowledge of his practice to his children who have all worked with him to grow the business.  He was married to Lanette for 40 years, and they had Mark, Holly, Mike, and Joy. 

Steve cared for people.  He had an engaging personality and easily made friends with whoever was around.  Many of his clients became good friends and would say that he was available to help with any situation that might arise.  He taught many Bible studies and started a ministry in South America where his love for people can continue to be seen. 

Steven Stratton passed away in 2017, but the legacy of his life lives on.

Julie Fuentes

Julie joined the TSG team in January of 2022. She is a valued staff member and provides support in our client work by preparing reports and helping maintain clients' accounts. She also plays a vital role in supporting our team's operations. One of her favorite things about working at TSG is being able to learn and grow her knowledge of the industry with the intention of becoming an advising partner at TSG in the future. Outside of work, she loves to spend her free time in the gym working out or with her family and friends.

Kacy Etchieson

Administrative Director

Kacy’s joined TSG in late 2022. Kacy is an integral part of enabling TSG to serve clients and a key ingredient in what empowers TSG to execute clients’ plans. Kacy’s role on the team is all things TSG Team related and helping clients existing accounts stay up to date with them when life happens. Kacy and her husband Chris have two children, Cayleigh & Maverick. In her free time, you will find Kacy watching sports or rooting for Maverick in his latest sports endeavor. She is a Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars & Texas A&M fan.

Kim Webb

Administrative Assistant

Kim joined TSG in 2023 and her role is to ensure TSG executes on its marketing efforts and make sure that TSG makes time available for our clients. Whether it is making time available for clients who need a meeting, or overseeing the many moving pieces of TSG’s digital channels, Kim is a vital part of the TSG Team and enables the rest of the team to deliver on our commitments to clients. Kim is a native of Dallas and when Kim is not in the office, she is probably on an adventure with Bunker, her miniature golden doodle, or she is out and about on her next adventure with friends and family. If you ask Kim who she is rooting for in the upcoming sports event, she’ll be going for the team you aren’t!
